"Battle Symphony" Peer Support Group
Using storytelling, song-writing and poetry to gain an understanding on depression, suicidal ideation, and anxiety, this peer support group exists to help 18-24 year olds who have experienced this battle by developing their own coping skills and tools. According to NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness), a peer support group is defined as “a voluntary gathering of people with similar challenges to share experiences and coping strategies and offer understanding”. Our goal is to discover the power of art and community as a resource for mental health.
